The Arts Council of Pirkanmaa works to strengthen the position of the arts and culture in our region. We participate in the development of our region in cooperation with artists, cultural organisations and other regional development bodies.

We support and create the conditions for professional and recreational artistic work and art cooperation. We distribute grants and subsidies to professional artists and art organisations, as well as for the promotion of children's culture.

We serve as a regional art expert and strengthen the region's international networking also through our artist residences in Prague and Berlin.

Provincial artists work in the field, organising events, training and workshops for regional artists by means of cooperation projects. The Arts Council of Pirkanmaa also offers expert advisory services for matters related to the arts and culture.
