The Arts Council of South Savo promotes professional artistic work and recreational activities in the fields of the arts and culture in South Savo. As part of the national arts administration, we distribute grants and subsidies to the region's professional artists, working groups and organisations, as well as for the promotion of children's culture.

We offer artist residences for use by the region's arts and culture professionals at Pioppi di Pollica (SA) in Italy and Prague in the Czech Republic.  
    
We carry out cooperation and are open to cooperation proposals. Our partners include local municipalities, regional councils, regional authorities, art institutions, schools, and organisations and associations that are active in the fields of the arts and culture.

Our provincial artists serve as generators for activities, they help identify special needs in their fields, and they are open to new ideas in this region.
